Surviving the Holidays

The season of gluttony is upon us. While we all want to stay on track with our diet and fitness over the holidays, statistics tell us that that doesn’t always happen.

According to numerous studies, the average individual will gain 1-2 pounds over the holiday season (cnn.com). While this may not seem like a lot of weight, multiply that by the number of Christmases past and you have yourself one chunky monkey of a body mass. It also drives home the point that a most of us push our health to the back burner while Santa is in town.

So, how can you stay on track this season? I mean, is it even possible to maintain (or even lose) weight, with plates of shortbread, cups of eggnog and multiple glasses of Christmas cheer in front us?

It sure is my little reindeer, and here are some tips and pointers to prove it!
